Software writers, What's up??
Does anyone else think that the SPSS programmer who wrote the error messages has a sick sense of humor?
"SPSS has encountered a catastrophic error. SPSS must close down and all unsaved work will be lost. "

Catastropic as oppose to fatal error? None of these sound really pleasant.

I love when Microsoft has a pop up that asks if you wish to debug. Umm, like I know something about software code!
Maybe they should change out catastophic and Fata erros for
[insert program] has encountered an error that is sure to annoy you.
I should become a error writer. I assume they need people to write things like that...
